Nuts and Bolts Team Leader of the Year Results

This year, the field of Team Leader of the Year Nominees was painstakingly narrowed to 5 finalists who were all recognized during the NaB Cocktail and Welcome reception on Thursday night, July 26. The Top 5 Finalists were:
– Kaytee Graudons, Altoona Beauty School
– Melissa Meyer, Eric Fisher Academy
– Molly Sterk, Stewart School
-Teresa Romero, Avenue Five Institute
-Teresa Russell, Hair Arts Academy

At the end of the Conference day on Friday July 17, Mel Meyer of Eric Fisher was announced as the winner of the 2012 Team Leader of the Year Award. It was an emotional ceremony as both Mel and Jim Yates were brought to tears! View the video of Mel accepting her award:

The criteria considered for the Team Leader of the Year Award
The TLOY demonstrates the following:

-Actively encouraging and living NaB
-Being an Advocate, a cheerleader for other teachers as well as students
-Joins conference calls regularly
-Contributes ideas, suggestions when asked
-Being a problem solver and mentor
-Has regular coaching calls and one on one calls with Trudy to help grow the school and the students
-Successfully implements the NaB culture within their school and makes a difference everyday
