The deadline to enter your nominee for the International Nuts and Bolts Business Student of the Year is fast approaching. The due date for all submissions will be 5:00pm PST Monday, December 12, 2011.
The Nuts and Bolts Business Student of the Year Awards will be held at the ISSE Show in Long Beach, California January 2012. You can download rules, regulations and application forms by clicking/right-clicking the link below and as always they are available in the member section! Criteria for this competition includes:
Attendance
Overall GPA
% of Customer Service Checklists completed correctly
% of guest up-services
% of retail to service sales
% of Color Service Sales (for Cosmo) OR % of Chemical Service Sales (for Esthetics)
And don’t forget about the 3-5 minute video portion!

Please encourage your students to get as creative as they would like for the video portion of their submission; students may do a skit, song, role playing, etc…anything they would like as long as it conveys and answers following questions:
What has the student learned from the program?
How do they plan to use the teachings of Nuts and Bolts in salon /spa life when they graduate?
Describe the lesson from one of the four NaB programs that was the most impactful to you and how you identify with it.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years and what steps do you plan to take to get there?
How has the NaB program made you a better business person?

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING IMPORTANT INFO:
To qualify, a member school will choose a student from each of the above disciplines from each campus to be their Business Student of the Year for Cosmetology and /or Esthetics. The student entrant(s) MUST:
1. Be enrolled in a cosmetology or esthetics course in CY2011 and performing guest
services daily on clients through their graduation date.
2. Be chosen from one of the 12 Business Student of the Month winners.
3. Submit scores from their winning month.
